today was such a beautiful day.

I'm so insanely lucky and blessed to have such a cool hike right around the corner from where I live. 

I made it all the way to this one rock I got to last time I was there with Kevin. 

the past few times I was too scared to pass this one shady area. something about an elongated path with so much moisture makes me feel like there might be some strange animal lurking around the corner, but I put my brave shoes on and trekked to the destination. and boy, was it worth it! so much serenity. 

I got a new guinea pig last night. we're naming her Ellie! she didn't move at all all night and I was snuggling her for a good portion of the night as well. but I finally got her on my lap and after waiting sooooo long, she had some lettuce.

I wonder who she is and what she will bring to our table.

Kevin got a truck!! it has 4wd so we can go to the desert and the snow with peace of mind! we need to get mountain bikes now

I'm so surprised, music doesn't do it anymore for me. Or I guess what I should say is that it's so difficult to find music that I truly enjoy. All the songs I've loved in the past, I've out played to death, revived, and killed again. But anyway, enough of that. I haven't posted in a while and it's because I haven't felt the desire to. In the past, I would return to this blog time and time again because I felt like the universe didn't put out time for me to be me, but these days, that isn't the case at all. I'm living my best life. other than this incessant mosquito that's been flying by my ear ALL night with its "wheeeeeh" high pitched sound and threats to drink more of my blood. You know what it really is? Kevin is such an attentive listener, that I feel heard and have no reason to write in this blog lol. God bless his soul, Maybe I should spare him my evert thought and come back to ye old faithful. Though there is something wonderful about interaction. 

it's so interesting, ham ham was literally caught in a DAZE when I was feeding him sunflower seeds because Basil made a noise. he's so curious about them! every video online says they won't get along, but ham ham is so peaceful, I just can't imagine it. We added crickets to his enclosure by the way. instead of eating them all like a fiend, they're just living harmoniously with him adding a gentle background chirp to my bedroom. 

What if ham ham wants a girlfriend? 

is there someway to get him one? would it be worth it all? I'll wait until Kevin thinks we should..

oh yeah! almost forgot, I finished my paintings for the last bookstore. 

drop off lands on the same day as Kevin's bday....

almost 2 years working in Calabasas and this is where I'm at lol 

I'm reading Howl's Moving Castle! it's such a smooth read!! not sure it that's because I'm familiar with the story, or it it's just written with a simpler English than most the other books I have been reading. Actually, come to think of it, ive been mainly reading books that are pretty old! That could explain why they're difficult to understand at times. 

I did the opening shift at work today and I'm so sleepy rn.... but I'm bored of sleeping. It's a weird predicament haha

I can't stop listening to Mystery Cloud by STRFKR. such a beautiful tune. 

Yesterday, Kevin and I hiked for 12 miles! We didn't mean to. We just kept going and ended up in Agoura Hills. We saw soooo many coyotes!

I flippin LOVE nature. It's pretty much the answer to everything.
